How do customers call in and act as stupid as they do, and not realize that they are the idiotic ones? Also… How are there people that I work with that are as dumb or more dumb than the people I have to speak to?

Progress for an outfit Russell’s mother asked me to make for her for Colonial Times reenacting.

I made the skirt and the chemise but added the apron just to show how I think it will be worn. Unfortunately I won’t be able to join her, Serah (their daughter), and her husband in Colonial Williamsburg, but at least something I made can. I hope she likes it. Anyway, I just have to finish up a bodice and then this outfit will be finished.

I still have another chemise and skirt that I will be sewing up, the skirt is going to be plain blue to match a very pretty waistcoat that she happened upon at the local Colonial Times site in North Augusta. Anyway, more progress pictures to come, hoping to finish this up so that I can get to work on the sewing portion of my next Mandalorian and the other costumes I plan to make for Dragon*Con.

Gears of War: Damon Baird

The one thing I enjoyed the most in character development, was Baird. Why? Well let’s break it down. Ever since Gears of War Baird has always reigned the jackass, intelligent and superficial kind of role amongst many Gears fans, and the game itself. It wasn’t until Gears of War 3 he became popular. It’s amazing to watch a game character grow—not only because of their attitude, strength and coping mechanisms—due to having to ingest similar attributes we gain to acknowledge from the in-game characters themselves.

Baird has evolved in many particular ways, including his devotion, trust and singular emotion he recreates amongst his team and the carnage around him. Many evoke a particular percentage saying that Damon Baird has no character development what-so-ever and regardless of his motives and part amongst Delta and the Gears saga, they resume to maintain such belittled judgment. Damon Baird has progressed in an astound manner that even I am astonished and taken back, especially since the raw emotion project in the last two games of the series, Gears of War 3 and Judgment.

By immersing myself into the Gears of War world I have come to fall for Damon. Not because of his attractive looks, snarky attitude and famous one-liners: but because of his character development and how he portrays the series alone. As intelligent as he is, many mistake his history and presume he was a smart-ass rich kid who’s parents spoiled him rotten until he enlisted. No! Damon Baird will forever be one of my favorite characters in a video game series and always will be the greatest to me.

I also admire the development and change in his appearance. The expressions are more vivid and lively as come the years, and you can see just how much/far he has come since Gears of War and Emergence Day. I applaud Epic Games and People Can Fly (for Judgment) and their astounding work on producing an amazing game and such attachable characters. I cannot think of any other character on my list that had me since the beginning. Good job, Epic Games.
